Meditation Classes for Children and Parents

Kids Class

Most Saturdays, 3 – 4pm

Children are introduced to Buddhist teachings on how to develop and keep a peaceful mind, good heart and find happiness from within regardless of external situations. The classes consist of guided meditations, short talks and discussion. Suitable for all ages, younger children are welcome to bring a teddy or similar cuddly. Healthy refreshments included. We request a facility fee of £2 per family/child. With Kelsang Lamchen.

Mondays 6.00 – 6.30pm 

Simple meditations for building inner peace, stillness & happiness from within. Suggested contribution £1, includes refreshments. With Kelsang Lamchen. Classes run on the following term dates, drop-in to any class.

Kelsang Lamchen is a mother herself to 12 year old Lily as well as being an experienced practitioner and Teacher of meditation and Buddhist thought. Lamchen teaches the evening Foundation programme at the Centre and already some of her students are teaching classes and groups in the area. She is very easy to talk to as she has such a good heart and can be contacted via email…

* New for 2014 – Parent and Baby Class 

Thursdays 10 – 11.15am

Guided relaxation meditations to enjoy with your baby, followed by refreshments and a chance to chat. £2 per family, suitable for pre-crawling babies. With Becky Maybury.

Classes run on the following dates, drop-in to any class.

5 June  - 17 July 

There are simple baby changing facilities available at the Centre, as well as plenty of space for pushchairs, and you are welcome to breastfeed your baby in the Centre/cafe.
