Day Courses and Half Day Courses at Amitabha KMC

These courses are suitable for everyone, for those beginning meditation and for those already familiar with meditation.

It’s a great way to take time out and relax and to learn how to practically apply meditation to our daily lives.

All courses are taught by experienced meditation teachers and include guided meditations, talks and a chance for questions

Day courses are taught by the Resident Teacher of Amitabha KMC, Kelsang Lamchen.
She will explain and expand on particular topics of Buddhist meditation, drawing from texts and offering further insights from her own experience of daily practice.

There is a suggested donation of £12 for Half Day Courses, £22 for Day Courses (which includes a light vegetarian lunch), and £30 for Blessing Empowerments (also including lunch); however no-one is turned away due to lack of funds.

Most of the Day Courses are from 10:30am to 3:30pm with regular breaks for refreshments and lunch. Please do book in advance so we can prepare enough lunch!
Half Day Courses are from 10.30am to 1.30pm with breaks for refreshments.

Blessing Empowerment of Buddha TaraImage result for green tara

Time:  10.30am – 5pm.

An empowerment is a blissful guided meditation that establishes a strong connection with a Buddha. In this case Buddha Green Tara. Through receiving her powerful blessings we can come under her care and  draw closer and closer to the happiness of enlightenment.

The suggested donation for this course is £30 (£20 concessions). This includes a delicious vegetarian lunch.


Wisdom for Modern Life

Half Day Course with Natalie Franco

Time:  10.30am – 1.30pm

In the midst of our fast paced, technology fuelled lives, it can be hard to keep connected to our own inner wisdom.

This half day course will focus on how we can develop our inner wisdom by relying upon Buddha’s most profound teachings, bringing us peace and a deep feeling of connection to others.

Ideal for those wishing to build upon experience from attending previous classes.

Our thoughts create our reality and a positive mind creates and experiences a positive world. By mastering our mind we can bring about positive change and permanent happiness.

Learning to Live without Anxiety

Half Day Course with Pilar Sepulveda

Time:  10.30am – 1.30pm

We often feel overwhelmed by the many demands and uncertainty of everyday life. In this course we will explore ways of thinking and meditations that will help us deal with adversity more skilfully and help us to let go of our fears and anxiety.
