It seems the worries of modern life are endless, so come along to this uplifting course to learn some simple meditation techniques to lighten the load. Packed with practical tips, the morning will focus on how Buddha’s ancient wisdom can inspire us and essentially help us to deal with our difficulties and problems in a worry free way! Suitable for beginners and advanced meditators alike, everyone is welcome.
Improving Meditation ~ Sunday 18 June, 10.30 – 1.30
In ‘How to Understand the Mind’ Geshe Kelsang Gyatso says, ‘The main function of concentration is to make our mind peaceful, when our mind is free from the turbulence of distracting conceptions it becomes calm and smooth… Concentration gives us the freedom to accomplish whatever we wish for.’ On this half day course we will have the opportunity to learn practical techniques to improve our concentration through meditation, and to increase our motivation to become free from distractions.
Improving Self-Confidence ~ Saturday 1 July, 10.30 – 1.30
You have UNLIMITED potential for happiness. And you can create this with your own mind! This short course explains how, rather than focusing on our current limited view of ourselves, we can instead relate to our limitless potential.
The suggested donation for half-day courses is £8 which includes refreshments. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
