Understanding the Mind
Opposing deluded states of mind and cultivating virtuous, peaceful minds is the main function of meditation.
In these classes we'll look at the mind in general and in particular the inner poisons that are the source of all the pain we experience.

April 22      What is the mind?  Where is it?  How does it function?Understanding the Mind from Tharpa Publications
Buddha taught that everything depends on the mind so this basic knowledge is very helpful in understanding how we can change everything in our world simply by changing our mind.

April 29      Anger
There is no evil greater than anger and no virtue greater than patience

May 6         Attachment
What is the difference between desire, attachment and love?

May 13      Ignorance
The wisdom that dispels our deeply ingrained ignorance is blissfully liberating.

Each class includes guided meditations, a talk, discussion, and tea and biscuits. They are self-contained and open to everyone. There is no need to book, just turn up on the night. If possible, its best to attend all the classes of a four-week course, and there is a discount for paying in advance.

Facility fee £6 / £4 conc.
or buy a 'Class Card' and pay for 4 classes in advance £20 / £12
